About Hector Lavoe: Puerto Rican salsa singer considered to be possibly the best and most important singer and interpreter in the history of salsa music. Lavoe better known as "The singer of singers" helped to establish the popularity of salsa music during 1970s and 1980s. His personality, style and voice qualities led him to a successful artistic career in the whole field of Latin music and salsa. The cleanness and brightness of his voice, coupled with impeccable diction and the ability to sing long and fast phrases with total naturalness, made him one of the favorite singers of all times.

About Salsa Meets Jazz Band: A unique Los Angeles band created for the pleasure of jazz, latin jazz and salsa music fans. Salsa Meets Jazz was a famous now legendary music series which took place at the Village Gate in New York during the 1980s. Now Los Angeles not only has its own version of Salsa Meets Jazz Series but also an Orchestra created to evoke and preserve one of the greatest times in Jazz, Latin Jazz and Salsa with classic and original songs.
