With their repertoire, history, legacy and universal admiration, Fundo de Quintal is to Brazilian samba what Buena Vista Social Club is to Cuban son.

Fundo de Quintal is Brazil’s most legendary samba band, formed in Rio de Janeiro in the 1970s. Emerging from the samba circles of the Cacique de Ramos carnival group, created by Bira Presidente, Ubirany and Sereno in 1961, Fundo de Quintal has become one of the greatest references in the samba world.
