Arsenio Rodriguez Project: An All-Star Ensemble of today’s top LA musicians, designed to continue the legacy and pay tribute to Arsenio Rodriguez, called by historians the father of salsa. The Ensemble came together for the first time in 2011 to honor Arsenio Rodriguez on his 100th birthday anniversary, presenting the original arrangements of the man many credit with being one of Afro-Cuban music's greatest innovators.
Buena Vista Social Club: A musical ensemble primarily made up of Cuban musicians, formed in 1996. The project was organized by World Circuit executive Nick Gold, produced by American guitarist Ry Cooder and directed by Juan de Marcos González. They named the group after the members' club of the same name in the Buenavista quarter of Havana, a popular music venue in the 1940s. To showcase the popular styles of the time, such as son, bolero and danzón, they recruited a dozen veteran musicians, some of whom had been retired for many years.
Catalina Jazz Club: Housed in Hollywood and decked out in a timeless charm, the club offers a cozy ambience under sparkling stage lights garnished with its signature concoction, Jazz. Over the past 36 years, the Catalina Jazz Club has hosted the most illustrious legends of all time from Dizzy Gillespie and McCoy Tyner, to Joshua Redman, Kenny Burrell, and Steve Tyrell, among others.
