Información del evento
Edna Vazquez is a Portland-based Latin American singer-songwriter who performs original compositions that pay homage to her international influences with a passion that comes through in every note of her music. She lifts the audience's spirits during her cathartic live performances with a vocal range that allows her to transition seamlessly between folk, rock, pop and Mariachi, all while exploring jazz stylings. Edna's songs are deeply rooted in universal human emotion and she has traveled far and wide spreading her message of light, love and cultural healing.

Peruvian duo Alejandro y Maria Laura set forth on a musical journey together in 2009 that has led them to more than 20 cities in Latin America and the United States, participating in concerts and festivals. They have shared the stage with many artists, including Kevin Johansen and the Ainda Duo from Argentina, Javier Barria and Me Llamo Sebastián from Chile, and Mexican artists Ampersan and Diana Gameros. They have produced two unforgettable albums (Paracaídas in 2011 and Fiesta para los Muertos en 2013) with heartfelt songs like Folclorcito or Jaula (recorded with Susana Baca), playful and bizarre songs like Pez Cachetón de China y outright antisocial songs like Quiero Estar Sola or Te Odio.

Elena Lacayo is a singer-songwriter and leader of the DC-based bilingual folk-rock band - elena & los fulanos -. Originally from Managua, Nicaragua, Lacayo identifies herself as both American and Nicaraguan and her music, which ranges from twangy, heartbreak-themed folk Americana, to soothing, introspective, violin-infused Latin rock reflects this dual identity. Her band’s Wammie-nominated debut album, Miel Venenosa, was released in 2014. In 2015 she became Artist in Residence at Bloombars, a community arts space in the heart of Washington, DC.
