An innovator and tireless creator of new sounds, chords, harmonies and musical feels. Composer of intimate and inspired words; that is Nicole, who today defines herself both in the local and international music business as an interpreter eager to create atmospheres and propose a different course in pop music; a personal path that today already sums 6 studio albums, 1 live compilation album and a promising musical future.
With just 12 years of age, full of innocence and an album that represented all that she felt, Nicole presented the world with her first solo and homonym album, “Tal Vez Me Estoy Enamorando” (1989)
Years later she would reappear with the album “Esperando Nada” (1994) recorded in Madrid, Spain, showing an important growth as an artist both personally and musically.
Soon after, “Sueños En Tránsitos” (1997) came out, being considered as one of the best albums of her musical career for its unique proposal and advanced sound ahead of its time, which was recorded between Santiago, Chile and London, England and produced by Gustavo Cerati ( Soda Sterero). She released her first single ¨Despiértame¨ and the video clip of that song won an MTV Latin Award that year.
Produced by the prestigious Andrés Levin ( Miguel Bosé, Marisa Monte Macy Gray, Erika Badú among others) Nicole released ¨Viaje Infinito¨( 2002) with Maverick Musica. Recorded in New York City, this Album took Nicole down a new musical path where she experimented with folk and soul, besides sharing with great musicians such as drum player Sterling Campbell (David Bowie, Duran Duran, The B52´s). This album was nominated for a LATIN GRAMMY for best Female Pop album in 2005.
By the end of 2005, Nicole began to prepare a new album, the first under her own record label Chika. The publication of “APT” (Apartment, 2006) was produced together with James Frazier with some English songs in between, was recorded in her Miami apartment, mixed in Granada, Spain and mastered in London, England.
That same year Nicole decides to come back to Santiago, Chile after being 6 years living abroad, most of the time in Miami, with the purpose of promoting APT. Nicole showed her musical growth onstage meeting up again with her devout chilean fans and adding a new generation of followers.
In 2009 she decides to record a live show at the Theatre of Arts, Nescafé to celebrate 20 years since her first recorded album. This album “20 años” included a new song “Hoy”, becoming one of the most popular songs of the national music industry.
Nowadays, Nicole is promoting her new album, “Panal”, her third album done with her record label Chika and the seventh in her musical history. Produced by Cristián Heyne. Panal has an Indie pop sound with electronic beats, synthesizers acoustic and electric guitars giving textures that in conjunction with the words of the songs that are related to fertility, family, romanticism, fear and faith, create an emocional, intimate, and inspired route through its 12 songs.
